Together with Doug and Keith he featured in many early Sugarhill Records releases as a member of the backing house band and has been a guest musician with many well known artists such as James Brown, Afrika Bambaataa and Duke Bootee. The original version of this album was released fully only to Japan as 'Never Turn Back' and as a white label only LP in the UK in 1993. The promo USCLP came in a plain red printed sleeve. The full release USCD features completely different artwork to the UK releases. Some UKDLP copies came with a limited edition 'art print', signed by Skip McDonald, of which there are thought to be 251 copies. The DL edition mistakenly lists 'One Drop Blues' (actually on CD1001(1)) as the first track.

The UKCD matrix gives the catalogue number as ON-U CD 101 and its sleeve reverses tracks 7 and 8 (correct above). The recording of this album took several years of on and off work and represented the first new release from On-U as a label for several years. Many unreleased demo / development versions of the released tracks exist plus several tracks that have not been released at all from these sessions. The FrDCD edition came packed with 3 Head's 'Blackwater' double album. On-U's chosen catalogue number for this release was later duplicated by Lee "Scratch" Perry's 'The Mighty Upsetter' album.
